Hey beauties! While browsing around Topshop makeup a while ago I came across one of their metallic nail polishes in Hidden Treasure. My first thought was ‘could this be an elusive dupe for Chanel’s Peridot?!’ I thought it was pretty close and for £6 (rather then £17.50 for the Chanel) I decided to give it a go. What do you think?
I think it’s pretty close. The Topshop one is a little more blue as opposed to the Chanel being more olive toned but with a price difference of £11.50 the Topshop polish is good enough for me! I’ve not used any of their nail polishes before and I like the application. It was opaque in two coats and applied easily and non-streaky. It also dried nice and quickly.
I’d ordinarily have used a nail wheel to show you the shade but I didn’t have any around so forgive the next picture of my chunky looking thumb!
As with most duo chrome polishes it was almost impossible to photograph. The gold comes through really strongly but as it moves it’s definitely got a lot of green and blue in it. It sort of reminds me of peacock feathers and I think it’s really pretty.
What do we think of this as a Chanel dupe?
