SEPTEMBER FAVORITES!

I have no idea why, but for some reason this month I had an outrageous amount of favorites. I think I finally bounced back to my usual self and wore makeup a lot more than usual. By the time I picked my favorite products I ended up with about 50 items! So if I mentioned any of my favorites in a previous post, I tried not to mention them again. I also ended up with quite a bit of lip products, blush, skin care and hair care, so I’ll just do a separate post on most of them in order to keep this somewhat short.

The main thing I’ve continued to use every day is my SHISEIDO eyebrow and eyeliner compact in BL3 Light brown. I love using powders to fill in my brows because it looks more natural on me. Although the color I have is “Light brown” I literally just touch my eyebrow brush on the color and it’s plenty to fill in my brows. This product will last me 5 years at the rate I’m using it! Unless of course, old age starts affecting my brows and they all fall out. Even then, I’ll have plenty left!

NARS ALHAMBRA: LOVE this!!! It’s basically fool proof and just brightens up your eyes. I couldn’t get the swatch to show up correctly in the right light. I didn’t want to post them because they didn’t do the shadows justice. You can find swatches HERE on Temptalia’s blog.

NARS KALAHARI: My attempt to venture out and use more brown tones… So far I love these colors mixed in with ALHAMBRA. Swatches found HERE

STILA WISTERIA: I wore this a lot when I first bought it. After neglecting it for awhile, I’ve rediscovered it and now remember why I loved it so much.

CHANEL FAUVE: This is the prettiest taupe shadow I own and makes me want more taupe shadows added to my collection. It has the prettiest fine shimmer! I wear it alone or as a crease color. You just can’t go wrong with this color. I also love that it doesn’t make me look like I have panda eyes!

On my eyes I’ve been using my Mac liquid eyeliner and 3 different mascaras. Yes, I said THREE (I have to put in work in order for my tiny lashes to appear!) First I apply my BENEFIT Bad Gal Lash mascara and then I separate and curl them using URBAN DECAY Curl Mascara. I then follow up by using CLINIQUE bottom lash mascara. It doesn’t take as long as it would seem and I find this combo works for me.

I have enjoyed so many lip products this month but my favorites wouldn’t be complete if I didn’t at least include the loves of my life (as far as makeup goes):

CHANEL Rouge Allure Extrait De Gloss 56 Imaginaire and 57 Insolence (backup worthy) and Rouge Allure Laque in 78 Phoenix. I already reviewed Insolence HERE and Phoenix HERE

This summer I’ve tried and tested numerous bronzers only to return them because they made my pale skin look dirty. I had almost given up hope when my sweet fellow blogger friend Mercedez from Reigning Beauties sent me a BECCA bronzing powder in Flamenco. Go figure, it took me the whole summer to find a bronzer that I like AND it’s from another country! I love how it’s light enough for my skin but obviously dark enough for me to use as a contour. It looks like it has shimmer in the pan but when I apply it, I don’t notice any.

Again, I’ve discovered some amazing blush this month but I’ve also rediscovered BENEFIT Dandelion. It’s so easy to brush on in a hurry. It’s pretty much so light that it’s fool proof. It adds just enough color to my cheeks so that I look alive yet very natural.

Lately I’ve been obsessed with coordinating my nail polish on my toes with my tattoo on my foot. I’ve been wearing mainly green and blue and I love it! My foot looks like a pretty decoration, however I won’t post a pic of my foot… seems a little weird.

Butter London Blagger, China Glaze Turned Up Turquoise(neon), China Glaze Frost Bite, and China Glaze In the Lime Light (neon)

The NEON doesn’t seem to pick up on camera. They are much brighter in person!

Hope that wasn’t too long! Expect more “favorite” posts, I’ve found many products I’m excited to tell you about!
