Hey lovelies!
I’ve seen so many posts about Inglot and I’ve always really wanted to try some of the items from their Freedom System. Unfortunately Inglot stores are a little hard to come by. Although there’s one in London it’s not somewhere I’ve ever ventured to and to be honest, I’m not really sure I’d know what to choose once I was there! Their stores are bursting with colour and their renowned Freedom System gives you the option to custom build your own palette. You pick the number of pans, the size, the style and fill it with your choice of eyeshadows, concealers, blushes, pressed powders, lipsticks and brow waxes and powders.
A while ago I was very lucky to win a giveaway from Laura over at Fitz N Bitz. Part of my prize was an Inglot Freedom System Quad and for me it was the most exciting part of a very generous prize! Laura selected colours that she owns as well and they were all colours that weren’t already in my collection which is always nice!
The packaging is really sturdy the pans are all magnetised so they stay inside. The lid is also magnetised which is great. It feels really secure and substantial and I think the quality is amazing for the price. The only downside to Inglot is that they don’t name their shades which is a touch that I really like from MAC, Urban Decay, etc. Instead they’re numbered which can get a bit confusing! The shades included in my palette were:
L-R 393, 407, 420, 429
Shade 393 is by far my favourite and has had the most use. It’s a purpley taupe that looks great as crease colour. 407 is a pearl blue shade and something I don’t have the chance to use very often. I used a touch of it in a navy smoky eye which added a really nice dimension to the inner corner. Shade 420 isn’t quite as orange as it looks in the swatches. It’s actually a softer terracotta shade which doesn’t suit my NC15 skin terribly well but looked amazing when I used it on my friend who is more of an NW40. 429 is a lovely yellow gold which makes quite a nice inner corner highlight to a gold smoky eye. It’s also not too yellow that it can’t be used as a lid colour but again that’s not something that would work for my pale skin tone.
All in all I was so impressed by the Freedom System and will definitely be making a trip to Westfield next time I’m in London to check out the Inglot store. I’d love to hear if you guys have purchased any of their products and if you have any recommendations! You can visit Inglot’s UK website here.
