ILLAMASQUA MORALE BLUSH

I had been stalking the Sephora website for this blush because it was always sold out; finally I got my hands on it! Morale is from the Illamasqua Theatre of Nameless Makeup Collection for Fall 2011

As always, Illamasqua blushers claim to:
Illuminate, radiate, make your face come alive with the colour and drama of Illamasqua Powder Blusher. Colour-intense and highly pigmented, use it to shade, brighten, enhance and define the shape of your face. Be bold, be daring, be the centre of attention.

This is my first powder blush from Illamasqua and I’m tempted to start collecting them all! I now understand all the hype around both their cream and powder blushers.

Morale is described as a rosed flush color with a shimmer finish (includes slight silver sparkle). Normally I don’t like shimmer in my blush but that went out the door when I saw this blush. I think this would be the perfect shade to wear on nights out. However, it can be worn lightly or layered to a fuchsia purple. What I find interesting is that this color seems to give different color pay off depending on the brush you apply it with. Below I applied it with my finger to give you the most accurate swatch.

This would make a beautiful eyeshadow or lip color by adding some clear gloss. Many people complain about the packaging because it doesn’t include a brush or mirror. This doesn’t bother me at all since I never use the brushes that are normally included in compacts and a mirror is never hard for me to find!
I just recently started dabbling in Illamasqua blushes and I’m glad I did. I think they are very comparable (if not better) to NARS blushers.
