FOR NOSEY GIRLS LIKE MYSELF: WHAT’S IN MY MAKEUP BAG TAG

I’ve been thinking about making my blog a little more personal because it seems like lately I’ve just been reviewing products. I’m an extremely nosey person and I love seeing what products other bloggers can’t live without, what they continuously repurchase, their skincare and hair care routines, etc. So I thought I’d aim for more personal posts. I do admit I’m a little intimidated to do them because being the product junkie I am, all my routines are complicated and looking at what I use even intimidates ME! I keep thinking, “How would I explain all this?” Hopefully, I’ll just bite the bullet and do it. For now, I’m starting off simple with the tag that was going around (yes, I just tagged myself) “What’s in your makeup bag.” I would never do anyone the disservice of knowing what’s in my actual purse, I carry huge bags and we’d all get lost in there!

My good old makeup bag:
Firstly, I’d like to say that somehow I end up with numerous makeup bags! I used to go through them like crazy and never cared because cosmetic lines are always giving them away as a bonus. However, a couple of years ago I came across this Lucky Brand makeup bag at Macy’s. It has gone through hell and back and still looks new. I don’t care if it goes out of style; most likely I’ll be using it for a few years. Every makeup bag I’ve used before gets so dirty or ends up falling apart. I’m extremely pleased with this bag; I’ve even gifted one to a friend.

I’m not one to touch up my makeup all day so I try to just carry the basics around. Besides, I need more weight in my purse like I need a bullet in my head.

Lancome Nutrix Royal Body Cream for very dry skin: This smells amazing to me. It works well for dry hands and I tend to slather it on my kids when I notice they forgot to lotion up their ashy legs (They hate when we’re out and they see me pull out my lotion!)

LAURA GELLER BALANCE-N-BRIGHTEN FOUNDATION POWDER: I already did a review on this HERE Not sure how I ever lived without it! Amazing for touch ups without looking like a cake face.

TOO FACED KABUKI BRUSH: LOVE THIS! It’s so soft and convient to carry around in your bag without getting dirty.

EYELASH CURLER: I have no idea what brand this is. I’ve tried higher end brands and never see a difference. This might be Revlon but that would just be a guess.

TWEEZERMAN TRAVEL KIT: I’m obsessed with this thing! Not only is it cute, the tweezers are amazing, and it keeps me from losing them! I purchased this at ULTA and highly recommend them.

MAC STUDIO FINISH CONCEALER IN NW20: I carry this around in case I have a blemish and need to dab some on. I find it does a decent job, nothing special but great for small touch ups on the go.

YSL MASCARA: I got this as a sample when I ordered from Sephora. I was excited to try it, but it was a major fail for me. I don’t even know why it’s in my makeup bag. It transfers all over my eyes. Worst mascara I’ve ever tried. However, it’s still new and I know some mascaras work better once they dry out a little bit.

CHANEL ROUGE ALLURE EXTRAIT DE GLOSS #56 IMAGINAIRE: Love, Love, and Love! It feels amazing, and it’s a beautiful everyday color especially when I want shiny gloss with a natural pretty color.

NARS LIPGLOSS IN COEUR SUCRE: Another obsession, I’ll freak the day NARS stops making this color. It’s simply perfect in every way. I also reviewed this product HERE

IF THERE’S ANYTHING YOU WANT ME TO REVIEW JUST LET ME KNOW. I TAG EVERYONE IF YOU HAVEN’T ALREADY POSTED IT!
