February Favourites!

I haven’t done a favourites post in so long! Which is surprising because they are some of the posts I like writing the most. Here’s a look at the products I’ve been loving this month!

Benefit The PoreFessional, MAC Matchmaster Foundation and MAC Cream Colour Base in Shell
Benefit The PoreFessional – I’m not going to go in to too much detail on this primer because I’ll be popping a full review up soon. I can safely say though, it’s become my all time favourite primer since I finally caved and purchased it. That being said, I still think it’s ridiculously overpriced at £23.50!
MAC Matchmaster Foundation – I wanted to love this but when I first got it I wasn’t too sure. Over the last couple of months though my skin has been awful and I’ve had constant breakouts. This foundation provides just the right amount of coverage and applies really nicely. The more I use it the more I like it and I definitely prefer it to any of the other MAC foundations I’ve tried. I use the shade 1.0 which despite what MAC MUA’s say isn’t quite fair enough for NC/NW15 girlies like me. However, it’s not too dark that it can’t be matched with a bit of a powder and a touch of bronzer on my neck.
MAC Cream Colour Base in Shell – I’ve had this for a while but have always reached for other highlighters. I rotated it into my everyday makeup bag in mid January and have fallen back in love with it. A lot of people swear by the CCB in Pearl as a highlighter but I find that it’s just too much of an icy shade. This is warmer and adds a beautiful glow. This is another products I’ll be reviewing fully at some point.
Garnier Essentials Hydrating Day Cream
This isn’t a very exciting product but as I mentioned my skin has been really bad and this has been quite nice as a daytime moisturiser. It makes a nice base for my daily makeup and is really moisturising (which is good, considering it’s a moisturiser!)
Fashionista Blush in Shade 10 – Butterscotch

This was part of the blush palette I took home from TOWIB 2 last year and remains the only one of the four I really use. It’s a peachy, pinky tone and is much less pigmented then other Fashionista blushes. I really like this as an everyday blush because it gives a lovely glow but remains natural. I love it! Fashionista charge £12 for a palette and four blushes or eyeshadows which is an absolute bargain! I wish my local Superdrug stocked them!
Revlon Lipstick in Fashion Night Pout and Lush Sweet Lips Lip Scrub

Revlon Fashion Night Pout Lipstick – Unfortunately I have to start this by saying this lipstick was limited edition. However, you can still occasionally pick it up on EBay if you’re untested! It was originally only available at Rag and Bone’s Fashion Night Out and was created by amazing MUA Gucci Westman. It’s a light beige tone which people often refer to as a dupe for MAC’s Viva Glam Gaga 2. I actually disagree and although I own and love both lipsticks, this is definitely warmer than VGG2 is. Fashion Night Pout has become my everyday nude. It’s glossy but creamy, applies like a dream and wears well.
Lush Sweet Lips Lip Scrub – I decided a while ago that I needed a lip scrub as I was having problems with that horrible flakiness that appears in winter. I tried to be frugal and make my own but it just didn’t work so I finally got around to picking this up. It does exactly as you’d expect by exfoliating your lips so isn’t necessarily very exciting. It’s the fact it tastes of chocolate and once you’ve applied it you can just lick it off and eat it that makes it a firm favourite!
YSL Touche Eclat

I didn’t want to be a typical blogger and buy this but I’m so glad I finally did! It’s expensive but it works! Working shifts means I’m tired about 80% of the time and it really shows under my eyes. This hides my bags, brightens and illuminates meaning I look like I’ve had eight hours sleep, even if I’ve only had four!
Loreal Volume Million Lashes
I bought this when it very first came out (and yes, I know that means it’s too old and I should have thrown it out but I don’t follow all those only keep it for three months rules!) and initially hated it. It was too wet, didn’t elongate my lashes enough and was just generally a bit rubbish. I can’t even remember why I started using it again but one day I must have picked it out. Now it’s older and drier it’s amazing! My lashes look full and thick and it lasts all day.
