Hey beauties, Hello Flawless Oxygen Wow is Benefit’s latest foundation release (and finally their first liquid foundation!) and is due to hit stores on March 31st. Benefit counters in Boots stores have been running a promotion where you can pick up seven days worth to try out before its release at the end of the month. I of course wanted to make the most of this! The foundation will be available in nine shades, three lights, three mediums and three dark shades. For some absolutely absurd reason they are only making three shades available for this trial and of the lights only the darkest of the three is available. Obviously I’ll be needing the lightest possible shade so the trial light shade ‘Champagne’ is way to dark. However, the lady on the counter was nice enough to give me one anyway to try for the purposes of checking out the constancy and coverage and of course to review it for you guys.
The tester packaging is a miniature of what the actual packaging is going to look like and I like it. It’s simple but user friendly and I’m pleased Benefit have given it a pump as it’s quite runny. At this point I’d insert a picture of a pump of the foundation but it seems to have disappeared from my computer so I’ll just describe it as best I can! It’s quite a runny liquid and started to run off my hand quite quickly! It’s oil-free, non-greasy and contains SPF 25 and PA+++ which means it’ll be lovely for summer. You don’t need much so a little of this is going to go a long way. It applies really easily and provides a buildable coverage from light to medium. It’s sheer and lightweight and has a smooth texture which sinks into the skin quickly.
It contains something Benefit have called the ‘Oxygen Wow Hydrating Complex’ which apparently boosts cellular respiration for a skin plumping effect, protects against environment stresses and contains vitamins C and E to help prevent signs of ageing. I’m not sure if there really is a brightening effect. It’s definitely a more dewy finish and so I’m unsure if it’s for me as I usually prefer something a bit more matte. However, as I said this could be a really nice foundation for summer where dewiness is less of an issue!
When this hits stores it’ll be priced at £24.50. Will anyone be picking this up?
